Frequent questions

• Do I need an account? Yes, an email address is enough. That is what lets the journal be shared between both parents and follow you to a new phone.
• Can I share tracking with the other parent? Yes. The journal is a family one: the co-parent joins and sees the same data, live.
• Does my data follow me to a new iPhone? Yes. The journal belongs to your account, not to the device.
• How do I get a copy of my data? Write to us and we send back a full export of the family journal.
• What does the Premium subscription pay for? The AI chat, which answers questions from your own journal. All the tracking stays free.

Deleting your account

You can ask from inside the app, or by email at contact@petitnid.app. The account and your personal profile go straight away; technical backups expire within thirty days.

If a co-parent is still a member of the family, the shared journal stays available to them: it is their history too.

Compatibility

Petit Nid requires iOS 16.4 or later. Every major iOS release gets a compatibility update.

The short version

Petit Nid asks for an account, because the journal is shared between both parents and has to survive a change of phone. What you log lives on Supabase, in Ireland.

In exchange, no advertising and no resale. The app is paid for by its subscription, not by your data.

What the app records

• The account: email address, hashed password, display name if you set one.
• The child: first name, sex, date of birth, and a photo and measurements if you want them.
• The daily log: feeds, bottles, sleep, nappies, pumping, medicine, vaccines, weaning.
• The Premium subscription: its status only, passed from Apple to RevenueCat. No banking data goes through the app.

The AI chat, for Premium accounts

We pseudonymise the context before sending it: the baby’s real first name becomes a marker, and the email, surname, photo and free-text notes stay here.

Depending on how the service is configured, that context goes to Google for Gemini or to Anthropic for Claude. A given request never goes to both.

What never leaves the phone

Sleep predictions are worked out on the device, from the journal the family already has access to. None of them leaves, to us or to anyone, and none of them trains anything.

Who else sees anything

• Supabase, in Ireland: the database and authentication.
• Sentry, European region: crash reports and session replays, with text and images masked.
• PostHog, European region: usage events, without the content of what you log or the text of the chat.
• RevenueCat: technical subscription handling. Apple: the payment.

What the app does not collect

• Your location.
• Your address book or your browsing history.
• An advertising identifier, IDFA or otherwise.
• Any banking data at all.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection: write to contact@petitnid.app and we handle it within thirty days at the latest. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
